On this day 54 years ago…

The football team buried Adelphi 41-6 in the season opener behind offensive juggernauts Dave Skillen and Stony Brook Hall of Famer, Allan Malachuk. Skillen scored on scampers of 16 and 67 yards and Malachuk, Richard Green, and Steve Johnson added the other touchdowns on plunges under five yards. The 41 points were the most the boys scored in a single game during the ’56 season.
