On this day two years ago, Michelle Hennessy had a career day.
In recent years, our girls’ soccer team has developed quite a rivalry with Pierson, a feud built on tight games and fierce play. This contest; however, was an anomaly as our girls took a 4-0 lead into halftime en route to a 6-2 triumph. The offensive MVP of the game was Michelle Hennessy who found the back of the net three times while Karina Scavo added 2 goals of her own. Hennessy thought back on her hat trick:
It was a thrill to beat Pierson 6-2 because we usually are head-to-head with them in a tie or we can never finish when we get the opportunity. So to put 3 goals in the back of the net felt great.
