On Tuesday afternoon, the boys’ tennis team opened their season with a 4-1 win over Kew-Forest on a mercifully mild day on the Hollis hardcourts.
Liam Swords (6-0, 6-1) and Forest Kaplan-Walbrecht (6-1, 6-2) were overpowering in the no. 2 and 3 singles slots, while Raphael Popescu and Max Kaylakov (6-2, 6-0) and Wyatt Moller and Roy He (6-1, 6-3) closed out the victory at doubles.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday in a home scrimmage with Port Jeff.
