Last Thursday afternoon, the wrestling team made it a Senior Day to remember thanks to a 39-24 victory over Martin Luther.
Sean Lim (138 lbs) won a 6-5 decision after earning a two-point reversal at the second period buzzer before pulling out a gritty stalemate in the final period. Forest Kaplan-Walbrecht (145 lbs) earned a pin with 52 seconds remaining in the second period. Landon Nydegger (152 lbs) followed with a pin, needing just 17 seconds to flatten his opponent. Gavin Hudson (172) gave The Brook its last pin of the day to help seal the victory. The Bears also earned three forfeits at unfilled weight classes, giving them an additional 18 points.
The Bears are back in action on January 28 in a rematch at Martin Luther.
