On Saturday, the wrestling team opened their season with a tri-meet at Long Island Lutheran where they topped St. Peter’s, 15-12, and tied host LuHi, 18-18.

The Bears needed heroics in both matches to stave off losses. Against St. Peter’s, Jason Kim earned a pin to give The Brook the team victory. In the match-up with LuHi, Sean Lim won a crucial overtime bout to help the Bears earn the draw with their league rivals.

The Bears are back on the mat on Wednesday afternoon in their home opener vs. Hampton Bays.
