Yesterday evening, the Northwestern University men’s basketball team opened their season with a 69-49 victory over Quincy University in an exhibition match-up at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Chase Audige ’17, who earlier this week was named a team captain, recorded team highs in points (15) and assists (7) to lead the Wildcats.
One of the focuses for Audige this season will be offensive efficiency, and the early returns were promising as he shot 5-of-9 from the field, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc. He added 6 rebounds, a block, and a steal for good measure in 36 minutes of work.
Audige and the Wildcats officially open the regular season on Monday night at home against Chicago State.
