Yesterday morning, Caroline Helmer ’22 capped off her outstanding freshman season for the Gordon College women’s tennis team with a selection to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference 2nd Team.
Here is the press release from Gordon College:
Helmer made sure to make her name known in the CCC as the freshman went 3-3 in conference doubles action in her rookie debut season. Most recently, after Helmer and [Annette] Kim overpowered Curry 8-5 in doubles, the rookie went off and recorded her first collegiate singles victory against the Colonels (6-1, 6-0), to help push the Scots into the CCC playoffs. In addition, Kim and Helmer added deciding points to the Scots’ final CCC regular season victories against Suffolk as well as Curry.
Helmer and the Fighting Scots return to the courts in March for the spring tennis season.
