Yesterday afternoon, the girls’ tennis team began defense of their four consecutive undefeated regular season championships with a 5-0 sweep of Avenues. The win marked a 19th consecutive league match victory dating back to 2018 and they have yet to drop a regular season match since entering the PSAA five years ago.

Carina Cristobal (8-2), Sarah Arrieta (8-0), and Alanna Wu (8-1) swept the singles matches while Sam Cox and Isabel Guo (8-2) and Fiona Rivas and Lyla Petroske (8-0) nailed down the win at doubles.

The Bears are back in action tomorrow morning in a league match-up at Staten Island Academy.
