This afternoon, the girls’ lacrosse team improved to 7-0 in PSAA play with a 15-2, rain-slicked victory over Columbia Prep at Randall’s Island.
The Bears led 11-1 at the half before easing up on the throttle and cruising to the win. Sydneyanna Giardini had her best performance of the season with 5 goals and an assist. Morgan Ruggieri (5G/ 3A), Mia Trama (3G/ 2A), Natalia Pagano (1G), and Gabby Macaspac (1G) rounded out the Bear attack. Emily Berger registered 11 stops in net.
The Bears return to the field on Wednesday when they host Portledge in a key league match-up. A win would give them at least a share of the first championship in team history.
