On Friday evening, under the lights on the Ashel Cunningham Track, Colin Scanlon ’21 ran away from the field in the 400 hurdles for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at the Redlands Invitational in hosted by the University of Redlands.
The freshman ran his best collegiate mark of 56.77 while dominating the rest of the field by over two seconds as the next closest competitor crossed the line in 58.89. That time leaves Scanlon ranked #2 in the SCIAC Conference, #2 in the NCAA Division III West Region, and #10 in all of Division III.
Scanlon and the Stags are back on the track on Saturday in the Westmont Classic.
