On Saturday morning, four wrestlers will take the mat in the 5th Annual NYSAIS Wrestling Championship, hosted by the Hackley School.

For two Bears it will be their first taste of state tournament competition while Yinka Ashiru will make his third trip to the event along with Forest Kaplan-Walbrecht, who looks to improve upon his 3rd place finish in the 2020 Championship.

Here is a list of the wrestlers and their seeds.

126 lbs

• Hayden Lomanto is unseeded in a field of 11 wrestlers. This is his first appearance in the NYSAIS Championship.

138 lbs

• Forest Kaplan-Walbrecht is the #5 seed in a field of 12. This is his third appearance in the NYSAIS Championship. He took 4th place in 2019 (106 lbs) and 3rd in 2020 (113 lbs).
• Sean Lim is unseeded. This is his first appearance in the NYSAIS Championship.

215 lbs

• Yinka Ashiru is unseeded in a field of seven. This is his third appearance in the NYSAIS Championship.
