On this day 44 years ago, Kevin Lockerbie ’77 helped lead the University of North Carolina’s mile relay team to a victory at the 70th Millrose Games, held at Madison Square Garden.

Kevin Lockerbie, a recent standout at the Stony Brook School, ran a 52.4 as the third leg of the University of North Carolina's winning one-mile relay squad.

Lockerbie served as a team captain that season and went on to finish 4th in the 1,000 yard run at the ACC Championships.
