Last week, Axcess Baseball released its Preseason All-Long Island Teams and seniors Tyler Smith and Tim Wozny were selected among the best of the best from Long Island’s public, private, Catholic, and independent players.

Tyler Smith, who will continue his career next year at St. Peter’s University, was named the designated hitter on the All-LI Third team, while the RIT-bound Wozny was named to the Honorable Mention team as a right-handed pitcher. The duo helped the Bears get off to a great start last week with wins over Mt. Sinai and Diamond Baseball Academy to open the season.

The Bears are back in action on Wednesday vs. Mt. Sinai at Diamond in the Pines.
