Last Friday afternoon, the swim team capped their winter season with a time trial in the Swanson Natatorium where 17 lifetime best times were achieved. In addition, four individuals and two relay teams hit times that met the 2020 Easterns Championship qualifying mark. This year the Easterns Championships moved to a virtual leaderboard in lieu of an in-person meet due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. From now until June, private school swimmers on the East Coast will have a chance to see how they stack up against the best.

Sofia Arrascue, Kaitlyn Tse, Amelia Griffin, and Ruthie Crane joined forces in a pair of relays, hitting the 2020 Easterns qualifying mark in the 200 medley (2:04.14) and 200 freestyle (1:49.01) relays. The four also achieved individual qualifying times as well. Crane hit the mark in the 200 freestyle (2:06.98) and 50 freestyle (25.94), Griffin in the 100 backstroke (1:03.63) and 50 freestyle (26.24), Arrascue in the 100 backstroke (1:08.08), and Tse in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.71).
