On Tuesday afternoon, during a Senior Day victory over Islanders Aquatics, Hunter Markowitz wrote his name beside a third individual school record, gliding past Jean Crousillat’s 27-year-old 100 breaststroke time of 1:01.36 with a mark of 1:00.62. The Bears won three individual events and all three relays on the day to best the high-level club team, 55-38.

Along with his 100 breaststroke win, Markowitz took 1st in the 50 freestyle (22.38) while Marcus Calero took top honors in the 100 free (56.29). Sofia Arrascue, Markowitz, Robbie Fehrenbach, and Calero took first in the 200 medley relay (1:52.12), Nick Chung, Oliver Griffin, Fehrenbach, and Calero finished on top in the 200 free relay (1:45.62), and Amelia Griffin, Fehrenbach, Ruth Crane, and Markowitz were first into the wall in the 400 free relay (3:52.00).

The Bears are back in action next weekend at the prestigious Easterns Championships held at Franklin & Marshall College.
