On Tuesday afternoon, the girls’ basketball team closed the regular season with a 56-31 win at Lexington. While the final score was a comfortable margin, the Bears and Blue Jays battled for three quarters until a dominant fourth frame allowed the Brook to pull away.

The Bears led 9-4 after the first quarter, but battled to a 13-13 tie in the second frame to carry a 22-17 lead into the half. The Blue & White edged Lexington 16-13 in the third quarter and finally put them away in a decisive 18-1 final period. In the fourth the Bears shot 80% (8-of-10) from the field as their size finally wore down the Blue Jays.

Nadia Hall led all scorers with a career-high 20 points while Wura Obasanjo recorded a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Niamh Scanlon added 16 points and Parisa Carrano, 2.

The Bears have secured the #2 seed out of the East Division and host West #3 Martin Luther on Monday @ 5:00pm in the first round of the PSAA Tournament.
