Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ soccer team completed the season sweep over Long Island Lutheran with a 3-0 win in Brookville.
Just four days after the Bears won a 3-2 match over the Crusaders on home soil, they dispatched last year’s PSAA runners-up in a complete victory.
The Bears built a 2-0 halftime lead and closed with another strong 40 minutes, unlike Monday’s match-up in which they carried a 3-0 edge into the break before allowing LuHi back into in. Owen Sobel and Mo Romeus scored and eighth-grader James Fay notched his first of what will be many varsity goals. Sobel and John Chang added assists. Andy Liu made 2 saves to earn the clean sheet in goal.
The Bears are back in action today in a non-league match-up at the Masters School.
