On this day five years ago, Margot Rashba capped a memorable running career for the Bears by taking 6th place overall in the County Championship of the 1500.
The senior ran a time of 4:54.61 to shave an incredible six seconds off of her previous personal best. The mark was in the vicinity of Laura Whitney’s school record time of 4:46.5, set over three decades earlier.
In her storied career, Rashba won the cross country County Championship four times as well as the Suffolk crown in the 3000. She went on to run four years of cross country and track at Tufts University.
