On this day 50 years ago, Glenn Ogden ’65 won the three mile title at the Big 8 Conference Championship, held in Ames, IA. The former Brooker defended his 1968 crown in a time of 13:57.6 to help Missouri finish runner-up at the meet to Jim Ryun’s Kansas squad.

Ogden was the second Brooker to win gold for Mizzou in the three mile, joining Robin Lingle ’60 who ran 14:26.9 for the 1964 crown.
