On this day 18 years ago, Charlie Hanchett ’97 netted four points as #2 Gettysburg topped Swarthmore, 18-6, in their season finale.

The former Bear scored a pair of goals and notched 2 assists as the Bullets improved to 12-1 on the season. His goal with 1:32 left in the first quarter capped a 6-0 frame from which the Bullets never looked back.

Hanchett and the Bullets went on to win a fourth consecutive Centennial Conference title and made it all the way to the Division III National Championship where they fell to Middlebury, 10-15.
