G Lacrosse 1997
The 1997 Bears

On this day 22 years ago, the girls’ lacrosse team rolled Kings Park, 21-11, behind a memorable effort from Caitlin Banks.

Banks scored 10 times and added 3 assists while Laura Louison tallied 6 goals and an assist to lead the Bears. Rebecca Hamilton (2), Miriam Mantius (2), and Kelly Hughes (1) rounded out the potent scoring attack while Tracy Searle stopped 21 shots between the pipes.

10 goals was not Banks’ record, however, as she put up 12 in a game that same season, which still stands as the school record.
