Passalacqua slides into second during the 2002 season

On this day 15 years ago, Anthony Passalacqua ’99 went 3-for-3 in Erskine College’s 9-4 over Paine College.

The former Bear smacked a single in the 3rd inning, notched an RBI single in the 4th, and added a double in the 6th to pace the Flying Fleets. He added a pair of runs.

He finished his senior season with a .400 batting average, 23 doubles, 10 home runs, 60 RBIs, 60 runs, and 17 stolen bases. At season’s end he garnered a spot on the All-Tournament Team and won Erskine’s highest honor, the Jake Todd Award, for excelling on and off the field. He still holds Erskine records in batting average, doubles, hits, home runs, RBIs, runs, and total bases.
