On this day 19 years ago, Jay Miaritis ’98 scored a goal in Cornell’s 15-6 season-opening win over Fairfield.

With the game locked at 4-4, the Big Red reeled off six straight goals, capped by a Miaritis score, to break open the game and pave the way for the win.

Cornell went on to finish 10-4 that season and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
