On this day 44 years ago, Don Lockerbie won the Suffolk County Championship in the 600 yard run by cruising past North Babylon’s Vin O’Brien (1:15.5) in 1:13.6.
Later that spring Lockerbie closed a sensational Blue & White career by winning the County title in the 880 yard run.
