Yesterday evening, the William & Mary men’s basketball team used a late spurt to clip Drexel, 75-69, thanks in large part to the play of Chase Audige ’17.
Trailing 64-65 with just 4:05 remaining in the game, the Tribe held Drexel without a field goal for the remainder. The Tribe reclaimed the lead with a layup which Audige extended to three on the next possession. The freshman followed his score by blocking a 3-pointer to keep the Dragons at bay before teammate Justin Pierce sealed the win with a late 3-pointer.
Audige led William & Mary with 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting and notched career-highs with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Audige and the Tribe are back in action on Saturday at home vs. Delaware.
