Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ swim team edged West Islip in enemy waters, clipping the Lions 53-49.

Hunter Markowitz was a dual winner in the 50 free (23.15) and 500 free (5:06.44), Spencer Griffin took both the 200 individual medley (2:16.97) and the 100 breaststroke (1:06.81), and Rob Fehrenbach placed first in the 100 butterfly (1:02.81) to lead the Brook.

The Bears also took two of the three relays as Markowitz, Isebrand Kaldewei, Fehrenbach, and Markus Calero combined to win the 200 medley relay (1:52.07) while Markowitz, Calero, Fehrenbach, and Griffin took first in the 400 free relay in 3:35.41.
