On this day 43 years ago, the boys’ basketball team defeated Mill Neck, 62-50.

The Shrikes raced out to a 20-8 lead after the first quarter, behind eight points from Tony Fort, before pushing their advantage to 17 at the break. Mill neck cut their deficit back to nine heading into the fourth quarter, but a 19-16 final frame sealed it for the Blue & White.

Fort and Dave Wilson led the Brook with 14 points each while Jerry Britton added 11 points and 13 rebounds. James Murray chipped in 8 assists.
