On Thursday afternoon, the boys’ soccer team improved to 7-2-1 in the PSAA East Division with an 8-1 victory over Solomon Schechter. The win solidified the Bears’ second place position and leaves them just a point behind league leader Our Savior.
The Bears held a narrow 2-1 lead at the half, but erupted for six second half goals to put away the Lions. Jai Narain netted his fifth career hat trick while Caleb Spreckels (2 goals/ 2 assist), John Chang (1 goal, 1 assist), Owen Sobel (1 goal), and Mo Romeus (1 goal) rounded out the scoring. Brandon Gicquel, Ryan Eikenes, and Aidan Mega also added assists for the Bears. Lael Kutame recorded 2 saves in goal.
The Bears are back in action on Wednesday in a Senior Day rematch with Schechter.
