In recent days, the dynamic duo of Don Liotine ’13 and teammate Jordan Gowins has earned the moniker, “The Long Island Express.” And for good reason. The heart of the running back corps has the Seawolves out to a 3-1 start courtesy of a relentless, punishing ground game.
The Long Island natives have each rushed for over 100 yards in the last three games, all Seawolves victories, and are powering the 22nd-best rushing offense in the FCS at 237.3 yards per game.
Liotine is currently 18th in the country in yards per carry (6.85), 22nd in total rushing yards (377), and 33rd in yards per game (94.3).
The Express and the 17th ranked Seawolves are back in action this Saturday at home vs. #14 Villanova.
