Hall of Fame Class of 2018

During Homecoming Weekend in September, two more Brookers will join over fifty other athletes in the Stony Brook Athletic Hall of Fame. Dave Wilson ’78 and Doug Alioth ’88 were the top two vote-getters from a list of ten nominees, selected by a dozen current Stony Brook Hall of Famers.

Dave Wilson ’78

  • Postseason Honors: All-County in basketball (1977)
  • Class Night Awards: Basketball Performance Award (1977 & 1978)
  • School Records & Milestones: 2nd player to reach 1,000 point milestone, held basketball scoring with Drake Womack ’72 for 16 years (1,025), points in a game (54), discus throw (165′ 0″)

Doug Alioth ’88

Stony Brook School

  • Postseason Honors: All-County in soccer (1987), All-County in basketball (1987), All-County in baseball (1987 & 1988)
  • Class Night Awards: Swanson Trophy for Best All-Around Athlete (1987 & 1988), Soccer Performance Award (1986, 1987 & 1988), Soccer Contribution Award (1985), Basketball Performance Award (1986 & 1987), Baseball Contribution Award (1987 & 1988)
  • School Records: Hits in a season (39), total bases in a season (61), longest hitting streak (15 games)
  • Team Championships: 1985 League Baseball Championship (2 RBIs in clincher), 1987 Baseball County Champions (2 RBIs), 1987 Baseball Class C-D County Champions (game-winning hit)

Messiah College Soccer & Baseball

  • 1989: NCSAA 2nd Team All-Region & 2nd Team All-Conference in soccer
  • 1990: 3rd Team All-Region & 1st Team All-Conference in soccer
  • 1991: Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Year & 1st Team All-Conference in soccer
  • Career: 5th in school history in assists in a season (13)
