On this day 54 years ago, Robin Lingle ’60 competed in the 1500 meters at the Olympic Trials semifinals held at Travers Island in New Rochelle, NY.

Lingle tied for 3rd place in 3:54.9 in the second of two heats, narrowly edged by Dyrol Burleson in 3:54.7, who would go on to win bronze at the ’64 Games in Tokyo.
