On this day 9 years ago, freshman Taylor Colucci took 2nd in the 200m dash at the Division III Championships.

Colucci was the youngest sprinter to make the 17-man semifinal and earned a place in the final with a time of 23.29, good enough for second overall after the preliminary rounds.

In the final, Colucci dropped his time to 23.23 to take second place. He also added a fifth place finish in the the 100m final in a field of seniors.
