The ’96 boys’ lacrosse squad

On this day 22 years ago, the boys’ lacrosse team clinched the first in a string of four Division Championships with a 14-7 win over Harborfields. The win capped a 12-2 regular season, the best record to that point in the history of the program.

The Brook scored 3 goals in each of the first two quarters to build a 6-4 halftime lead, then added four in both the third and fourth to seal the win.

Sophomore Liam Banks led the way with 4 goals and 4 assists while Jake Kenney (3 G, 3 A), Jay Miaritis (2 G, 1 A), Chris Clark (2 G), Dave Metz (1 G, 1 A), Kevin McCrain (1 G), and Sean Metz (1 G) rounded out the scoring. Derek Kenney made 16 saves between the pipes.
