The 1996 baseball team

On this day 22 years ago, the baseball team delivered a stunning comeback in an 11-10 victory over Center Moriches.

The Bears took an early 4-0 lead, only to watch the Red Devils pour it on with four runs in the 5th inning and six runs in the 6th to take a 10-4 lead. Trailing by six runs entering the last of the 7th, the Bears scored seven runs to steal the win.

Robbie Marvin bookended the inning with a lead off triple and a two-out, two-run, walk off double that capped the incredible rally. Teppei Inoue earned the win for the Brook.

The Bears went on to finish the season 21-5 and win their first County Championship since 1987.
