On this day 41 years ago, Don Lockerbie ’75 won the ACC Championship in the 880 yard run (1:53.1) to help the University of North Carolina earn a runner-up finish.

The Tar Heel captain would go on to earn All-America status that season in helping the mile relay team take 3rd place at the National Championships.
