The 2002 lacrosse squad
On this day 16 years ago, the boys’ lacrosse team edged Mt. Sinai, 8-5.
The Bears trailed 3-5 heading into the fourth quarter, but erupted for five goals in the final frame to steal the win.
With the game knotted at 5-5 with four minutes to go, Conor O’Keefe found the net to give the Bears the lead for good. O’Keefe finished with 2 goals and 2 assists while Joe Sawyer (3 goals), Greg Titus (2 goals), Steve De St. Aubin (1 goal), and Mike Pilnacek (1 assist) rounded out the scoring for the Brook. Eric Everitt made 12 saves in goal, including six in the fourth quarter.
