Singer in a win over Comsewogue that season
On this day 10 years ago, the girls’ basketball team clinched their fourth consecutive League Championship in a 52-33 win over Pierson. The victory was their 40th in their previous 41 league games.
The team was led that season by Danielle Spiliotis (All-State) and Sadie Singer (All-County) as the Bears ran through League VIII with a 9-1 record. They would go on to win a third straight County Championship in a 37-23 win over Port Jeff.
