Odom Vanderbilt

On this day four years ago, Rod Odom ’09 earned SEC Player of the Week honors for Vanderbilt. Here is the press release from Vanderbilt:

Vanderbilt senior forward Rod Odom was honored by the SEC Office on Monday as the league’s player of the week after averaging 24 points and four rebounds per game in contests against Tennessee and Arkansas last week. It is Odom’s first weekly honor from the SEC. Odom scored a career-high 26 points against Tennessee, and followed up with a 22-point performance against Arkansas in route to the award. He added seven made threes for the week, shot 50% from beyond-the-arc, and made 61.5% of his shots from the field. Odom is second in the league in three-point field-goal percentage at 44.1% and threes made per game (3.0). Odom’s honor is the Commodores’ first of the season, and the first since Kyle Fuller won the award on December 10, 2012.
