On this day 51 years ago, Glenn Ogden ’65 reset the University of Missouri Brewer field house 2 mile record in the Tigers’ season opener.

The sophomore raced to a time of 9:08.5 to win the event, adding to Mizzou’s 103-point total in their tri-meet victory over Drake (28) and Wichita (19). Later that season, Ogden would go on to a 3rd place finish at the Big Eight Championship in the 5,000 yard run with a time of 14:43.
