On this day 31 years ago, Doug Alioth scored 38 points to lift the Shrikes to a 54-44 victory over La Salle Military Academy.

Both teams started the game hot in a 15-15 first quarter, but the Brook took control in the second as Alioth poured in 13 of the Shrikes’ 16 points to take a seven-point lead into the half. They would never relinquish the lead on the way to the league win. The junior forward added 15 rebounds to complete the double-double. William Cooper was the second-leading scorer for the Blue and White with 6 points.
