Basketball 1999
The 1998-99 Bears

On this day 19 years ago, the boys’ basketball won a thriller against Miller Place thanks to a late-game run and the clutch shooting of David Marvin.

Trailing by seven with 4:10 remaining in the game, the Bears unleashed a 13-2 run to stun the Panthers in the 51-49 non-league win. Marvin scored seven of his 17 points during the stretch, including a 3-pointer with two minutes left that gave the Brook a 48-46 lead they would not relinquish. Seth Kuhn was dominant inside, recording a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
