This afternoon, the volleyball team edged Long Island Lutheran, 3-2, in a scrimmage. The two squads came into the match unbeaten in their respective leagues as the Crusaders are currently 7-0 and atop the Private Schools Athletic Association’s East Division.

The Brook took set one, 25-19, but fell in a taut second set, 23-25. The Bears reversed the script in a 25-23 set three win, but the Crusaders forced a fifth round with a 25-17 victory in set four. In the final round, the Blue and White prevailed, 25-21.

Sam Petersen had 23 assists and Lois Ezi and Danielle Graves led the way on offense, recording 10 and 9 kills, respectively. Bekah Detwiler contributed 7 kills while Liz Robbins notched 4 aces and 11 assists. Long Island Lutheran is the five-time reigning PSAA Champion.

The Bears are back in action in a home match-up Friday night at home vs. Port Jeff.
