The last time the girls’ volleyball team traveled to Port Jeff they came away with an upset victory over the second-seeded Royals in the Suffolk County Class C semifinals. Despite falling to Port Jeff twice during the 2016 regular season by scores of 3-2 and 3-0, the Bears took down their cross town rivals on their home floor when it mattered most.

The Bears took the first 2017 rematch, 3-0, to earn their third sweep in their first three games. The Brook took the opening set, 25-19, set two, 25-17, and cruised in set three, 25-14. Hannah Detwiler had 6 aces while Sam Petersen notched 5 aces, 6 kills, and 9 assists.
