This evening, Newsday unveiled their spring sport All-Long Island teams and for the second straight season Jyles Etienne has made the prestigious list.

Etienne set the indoor and outdoor Suffolk County records in the high jump this spring with leaps of 7′ 2.5″ and 7′ 1.75″, respectively. He repeated as the Division III Champion on May 24, but was unable to defend his Suffolk County and New York State Federation crowns due to a heel injury. He is hoping to be ready for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in mid-June.
