On Friday, at the famed Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, Alex Russo ’13 and her Villanova women’s cross country team finished in 2nd place in the Big East Championship.

The former Bear was the Wildcats’ sixth finisher, taking 33rd place in a field of 80 runners by covering the 6k-course in 22:46.

The Wildcats finished 13 points behind champion Providence by a score of 36-49.
