On this day two years ago, Matt Hollis won the decathlon at the 10th Annual New York Relays held at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island.

The senior dominated the competition earning 1st place finishes in the 100 meters (12.30), 110 hurdles (17.04), high jump (5′ 7″), long jump (18′ 3″), and shot put (40′ 6″). He finished with a cumulative total of 3,425, besting the second place finisher by 432 points.

At the same event, Margot Rashba, took 14th out of 48 runners with an impressive 10:50.66 in the 3000, soundly beating her personal record.
