Liotine Named SBU Offensive Rookie of the Year

Liotine vs. Elon earlier this season
Stony Brook University held its annual football banquet Sunday afternoon where Don Liotine ’13 was given the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for his exploits at running back this season.
The former Bear was twice named the CAA Football Rookie of the Week after performances of 204 yards vs. Howard and 203 vs. Albany. He was also the Seawolves’ leading rusher with 157 carries, 708 yards, and 5 touchdowns. He closed out the season with three straight 100-plus yard games that helped SBU to three consecutive wins.
On Monday he was awarded a full scholarship after his third season with the team. This season counted as his rookie year because his first two ended in pre-season injuries.
