On this day 54 years ago, the football team turned back Friends Academy, 26-13, to give the Quakers one of just two losses on the season.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Brookers scored 13 points in the second quarter, then found the end zone once in each of the remaining quarters, to outpace Friends. Bill Johnson scored twice for the Blue and White on runs of seven and 10 yards, Morris Clark scored on a one-yard plunge, and Terry Smith found the end zone after an eight-yard scamper to round out the scoring.
