On this day 68 years ago, the cross country team, in just its third year of existence, finished undefeated for the second straight season.
In the closest meet of the season for Marvin Goldberg’s harriers, the Brook edged Trinity, 27-28, to finish 7-0 on the season. Trinity looked to be in control after taking the top two spots, but Bud Dorman, Bruce Dodd, and Johnny Cowan claimed the next three spots for the Brook. Trinity took 6th, but the Blue and White took 7th and 8th thanks to strong finishes from Walter Griffith and Ronny Hill.
