On this day three years ago, the football team trampled Southampton, 53-35, to improve to 4-1 on the season.

The Bears trailed 14-7 late in the first quarter when Ben Walter returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Don Liotine followed with an extra point kick to knot the score at 14-14. From there the Bears began an offensive onslaught that sunk the Mariners. Marco Masakayan found Tyler Hoegsberg for a 20-yard touchdown reception, then Masakayan scrambled 23 yards for a touchdown to put the Brook up 28-14. After the Mariners cut the lead in half, Liotine closed the first half with a 37-yard run that put the Brook up 34-21 at the break.

The Blue and White offense did not let up in the second half as the Bears scored the next three touchdowns to put the game out of reach. First, Masakayan hit Hunter Skorobohaty for a 6-yard score, then Liotine found the end zone on a 25-yard run, and Walter capped the stretch with a 39-yard scamper for his second touchdown of the day.

Liotine finished with 164 rushing yards on 15 carries and recorded 7 tackles. Walter was a force on the defensive end with an interception and a fumble recovery.
